Will this work if there is a concrete footing around the old post?
Yes! Because of the offset H-shape design, you can drive the sharp spike into the dirt right next to the existing concrete footing, and the upper bracket will still align perfectly with the wooden post above ground.
Do I need to remove the old rotting wood first?
No, that's the beauty of this product. As long as the upper portion of the post is solid enough to hold a screw, you can simply attach the anchor to the healthy wood, completely bypassing the rotted base.
How many anchors do I need per post?
For slightly leaning fences, one anchor per post is often sufficient. However, for severely damaged posts or high-wind areas, we highly recommend installing two anchors (one on opposite sides of the post) for maximum rigidity.
Is it hard to hammer into the ground?
